The Amazing Race . . . City Harvest Church KL.

Around 60 people participated in The subzone Amazing Race organized by a few young people from CHC. First, we were randomly selected into various groups which consists of 6 people. But due to some unforseen circumstances, my group was left with 5- Kevin the leader, Loren, Winnie the Pooh, Cheryl the chilli queen and me. Then, the race started off with each team getting a clue. The one thing I hate about the clue is, it's a friggin riddle. It was like 5 ordinary people trying to decipher the Da Vinci's code. We had no idea where that was until some tips were given.

Inside the angry-bus

With the reliable tips, we headed off to Pavilion, first getting on a bus with a very angry bus driver and then getting on the KL monorail. We found 'Prince Giselle' who is a lady for our next clue but before getting the clue, we had to eat a few pieces of raw garlic first and I didnt like that. After we force fed ourselves with the given garlic, we got our clue.

We then traveled to central market with the garlic stench lingering in our breaths to look for a guy with short pants called 'The Fallen'. Fortunately, a few of the groups were already there so we didn't have to search for The Fallen. He was standing right at the entrance. Another food challenge, red chillis. Cheryl had to eat the chillis because she skipped the garlic and she did it like a pro. Oh man, this girl just popped the chillis in her mouth and swallowed them like nobody's business.

Puzzle-solving people

There were 3 task this time, number 1 was take a picture in front of the toilet, number 2 was do an MJ song at the entrance of Petaling Street and I couldn't remember what was the last task. Doing the MJ thing at the entrance was quite fun though, with watch vendors clapping after we 'performed'. The last pit stop was at Sungei Wang which we didnt manage to arrive due to lack of time.

what a loo-k,clockwise from top left: Winnie, Loren, Cheryl, me, Kevin

I know I look weird here

With the remaining money, 5 of us squeezed into a taxi and headed straight back to Sunway. And we were the first team to arrive! but didn't win. We were the 1st runner up. Not bad eh?

Did I tell you that one of our tasks was to find a person with more than 5 letter 'A's in their name and take a picture of their IC?

hell yeah we took a picture of her with her colleague

We found a person with that criteria and she even let us take a picture of her IC and a picture with her.(courtesy of Polis DiRaja Malaysia)

Change..That Will Not Happen.

Change? in this place? You must be kidding.

Changing from better to worse by changing English for Science and Maths back to BM. Can you even imagine how backward we are already? By the time everything is translated into BM, others elsewhere have gone into space. This is mere stupidity.

Don't you get it? I want CHANGE you ASSHOLE!

And now, I'm fearing for my safety because I don't wanna die being thrown from high buildings. If that is so, that is not suicide, that's phucking murder.

Sarawak's Kon Loo Mee

I first saw it in Kennysia.com quite some time ago. Thus, I had the urge of trying a bowl of Sarawak kon loo mee. I've also asked my coursemate who hails from Sarawak and got a vague idea of the kon loo mee. The original ones are without the black soy sauce so the mee is in it's original colour and to me, it feels healthier.

And today, I got the chance to taste it, in KL. It was a little bit dry but the minced meat was sufficient to make it tasty. I was only given 6 very thin slices of char siew and I guess this only happens in KL.

this needs some lubricating

Verdict: (KL's one) Nothing to shout about.
